Export reports in the format you want. When exporting a report, you can now select .xlsx in addition to .xls and .csv formats. If you’re like me and want to pull information out for various reasons and do some analyzing in Excel, then this feature is for you and your users. Be sure to use Chatter and other communications to bring this to your users’ attention after Spring ’21 is rolled out.

Streamline report creation with multi-field selection

Spend less time creating reports and more time translating results into next steps. Multi-field selection allows you to drag multiple fields to your reports with a single action. Plus, you can now add or remove fields and columns, and preview the results without delay. Let’s be honest — there’s no medal for dragging fields over one by one. With multi-field selection, you can build reports faster, which frees up more time to watch the Salesforce Admins YouTube channel.

Save dashboard results with Filter URL Parameters

There’s no need to set up the same filters each time you view your dashboard in Lightning Experience. Now, you can create a custom URL that includes the filter parameters. When you access the URL, your dashboard will open with the filters already set. For example, you can customize your Opportunity Stages dashboard with a different URL for each account, or create a custom URL for an account owner or lead source.

And let’s remember — building dashboards with filters is an admin best practice we learned from LeeAnne.
