Handling Flow Errors in Salesforce (Send Email)
In this episode, learn how to handle Flow errors. Flows come with standard flow error emails that can get difficult to read. If you are working with multiple complex processes where one record triggers updates on other object records, then going through standard email can get time-consuming. As a best practice, Salesforce recommends configuring the fault connectors in your flow so that you always receive an email when a flow fails. In the email, include the current values of all your flow’s resources. The resource values can give you insight into why the flow failed. There are various ways of handling faulty flows, and this is just one of many. Steps: - Create your flow. - Create reusable text variables to store element/assignment data. - Add Assignments to build suggestions in your variables. - Create a text template (email body) that includes the values of all the flow resources. - Add email action. You can connect all assignments to a single email action. Debug, test and activate. If you have not received an email while debugging, trigger a record from the user side (not in Setup). If your configuration is correct, you should be getting an email. Help Articles: https://ift.tt/jq3Xf0m 🔔 Subscribe to Salesforce Atlas! 🎵 Music: You by Ikson (https://ift.tt/g2CJThV)
