How many times do you find yourself at the end of the day that you did nothing the whole day? In this age of technology, we have a new challenge that our predecessors didn’t have, DISTRACTION.
On average, Americans spend 4 hours and 25 minutes on mobile phones and pick up mobiles around 144 times.
Also, on average we spend 2 hours & 24 minutes on social media. We all are trying to counter this habit in multiple way.
One solution that works for me is to block websites. There are paid solutions however why pay if we can write ourselves? In this blog post, I will share a video and full source code of the Chrome extension that can not only block but also every time you try to visit the blocked website, it would present motivational quotes.
Below is the sample screenshot of the blocked website.
