Do you also have confusion going on while seeing what partnership are we talking about here? What is Team GB and what it has to do with Salesforce? What work would Salesforce do for Team GB

It is possible that you must be filled with more such questions and hoping to get the answers soon. Well, don’t worry as we will be covering up all about these things and more in this blog.

But, before moving forward let us first discuss more regarding Salesforce, for those who are still not aware of this topic.

About Salesforce:

Salesforce was founded in 1999 by former Oracle (ORCL) executive Marc Benioff, Dave Moellenhoff, Frank Dominguez, and Parker Harris. It is said to be one of the initial first global companies that were successful in employing CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software which is also based on cloud computing. Since then, Salesforce has been quite capable of leveraging the cloud technology and further building a variety of applications for several businesses, based on the same, to connect to their customers in a better way and also helping to provide them the rightful key insights into their services, which can be done through both the analytics and apps.

Briefly, it can be said that Salesforce is a well-known cloud computing Software as a Service (SaaS) company that aims at specializing in customer relationship management (CRM). The services provided by Salesforce lets businesses use cloud technology to connect with their customers, partners as well as potential customers in a better way. This software has become the number one for customer success and also helping all the businesses in tracking their customer activity, the market as provided to customers along with many more services.

About The British Olympic Association:

The British Olympic Association (BOA) is the National Olympic Committee (NOC) that has been made specifically for countries like Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The responsibility that the BOA encompasses is towards championing the Olympic values and brand in the UK region. Moreover, talking about the funding of the BOA, it receives no annual funding from either the lottery or government, has no requirement of political interests, and further showcases dependence upon fundraising income to achieve its main aim/mission. The BOA is considered to be the strong and independent voice for British Olympic Sport.

The details of the 2028 Summer Olympics have officially come up. It will be officially known as the Games of the XXXIV Olympiad, and more commonly stylized as ‘LA28’. Most of us know about this Summer Olympics as a forthcoming international multi-sport event. Furthermore, it is scheduled to take place from July 21 to August 6, 2028, in Los Angeles, California, United States. Hence, the term ‘LA28’ arises, which signifies the place and the year when this Summer Olympics is scheduled- Los Angeles 2028.

The LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games are known to be a platform of inclusion along with the creativity for athletes and fans all around the world, while also ensuring to harness the diversity, optimism as well as youthful energy in the region of Los Angeles. LA28 marked the third time for Los Angeles to host the Olympic Games (previously hosted in 1984 and 1932) and would be the first time for hosting the Paralympic Games. The LA28 Games Plan will be further using the existing world-class stadiums as well as the sports venues that are present across the Los Angeles region, while also taking care that it will be a sustainable and fiscally responsible event. On 6th July 2021 came the big news of a new as well as long-term marketing partnership between Salesforce and Team GB to deliver the marketing programs that are ought to bring the fans and Team GB closer together, more than ever before. Salesforce has also announced that as a part of NBCUniversal’s bespoke Olympics partnership, Salesforce would be activating campaigns across Sky Europe including Great Britain, for over the next seven years.

While being a part of this amazing marketing partnership, Salesforce would be engaging millions of fans all around the world, by also building up the most engaging fan community in the sports field for Great Britain. Salesforce will be partnering with Team GB and would be using their data for the creation of data hubs and more visualizations to ensure that the fans are more engaged. Salesforce would also be partnering with the athletes of Team GB, with the help of Trailhead, to reskill the athletes during and even their post-athletic careers.

When asked about this partnership in an interview with Zahra Bahrololoumi, President and CEO, Salesforce UKI, she replied that “Our mission at Salesforce is to help customers achieve success from anywhere. We’re incredibly proud to support Team GB by helping them do the same — engaging with their fans around the world.”

Conclusion:

This exciting announcement would build upon Salesforce’s multi-year partnership with Team USA and the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games. While working as a Founding Partner of the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Salesforce would also be providing Salesforce Customer 360 technology to deliver an engaging fan and athlete digital experience over the next few years.

With this partnership, Salesforce would be achieving greater heights of success and popularity among the different crowds.
