#1MinuteTip  If you have the parent-child relationship on the same object (whether standard or custom) you can easily display the records in a hierarchy. Like having Parent Account field on the Account object or Parent Case field on the Case object.

With this Hierarchy Aid component from AppExchange (created by Salesforce Labs), you can view the record hierarchy of any standard or custom object through a filterable list. Very useful.
